Portrait of Yulong Cao

I am Yulong Cao, a research scientist at the NVIDIA Autonomous Vehicle Research group directed by Marco Pavone. My research interests trustworthy AI, alignment, and embodied AI systems security. My research goal is to build secure and safe autonomy that’s aligned with human. I completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan, advised by Morley Mao. Before that, I received my B.S. from both the University of Michigan and Shanghai Jiao Tong University. My Ph.D. work sought to understand the vulnerability status of autonomous driving systems and how to make them robust.

Besides research, I also find photography another lens through which to observe the world. Check out my gallery or the profiles below.
